This is too vague. :-) I still don't know what you found out that
said your computer had crashed. Did you think that it was a permanent
crash, as in not repairable. Or were you able to recover? You seemed
in your message say the former, i.e. that your computer was toast. I
have had that kind of failure and that's how I got some of my
collection of hard disks.

Yes, I started even earlier with Commodore machines. And I had a
unique little machine called the Interact. It was based on the Intel
8080 chip.
