Yep, that works. I don't recall ever doing that before, but then cookies tend not to be plain language and so are of no use that I can see. Of course if you want to get rid of them then knowing where they are is good. I never worry about cookies, being text files they are not executable. They are mostly for keeping track of your settings each time you visit web sites. Yep Jim: Cookies can accumulate and eventually hog some space, but my OS never runs that long between reinstalls.
