If I remember you will need the Firmware. Go back and Download and Install. You 
will be in good shape soon.

Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] wireless card not showing in device manager


hey i have a acer aspire 3000 and i installed xp on it after i had to 
replace the hard drive i went to acers web site and downloaded the 
drivers including the wireless for the broadcom card and when i 
installed it its still not showing the card not even in device manager 
its like the card has stoped working altogeather.
