In the end you are backward looking then it seems. You were late in the day with XP it seems.

This is not different from XP when It first appoeared. I never had a problem getting old hardware to work in XP. Perhaps things will improve with Vista in time but in my experience some hardware *that isn't that old* just haven't worked the way they should. I would rather something did not work at all in it, to be honest. But in some cases with printers and scanners, some functions work fine whereas others do not. And I have spent many hours with a user battling with these issues. > I also use Unbuntu, the Linux version. Windows often requires you to go and get the appropriate driver from the internet or CD, too..... > Most software works fine on Vista. Yes it does. But it took a little while for the vendors to catch up. We couldn't use our Antivirus product for a few months. > Most people who want XP back are those who in the past would want XP > remopved in favor of their beloved win 98. A little bit of a sweeping generalisation there...see my previous email. Again, I have nothing against Vista - I am just giving you the benefit of my experience in setting it up etc. In fact I am encouraging my users to stick with it as much as they possibly can as support for XP is soon to end.
