I just thought I'd mention that sometimes an infection can be far beyond 
curable.  At times I've spent countless hours running AV apps and 
digging through the registry, processes and system files - only to end 
up having to reformat anyway.  I dunno if your sitch is that way or not, 
but sometimes it's easier to just bite the bullet and restore or 
reformat.  Hope you get it fixed.
