Jim, I have used this on just the same issue, and I was then able to Install
Vista on the Client's PC. Here, have a look or Download the Application.
Active@ Kill Disk - Hard Drive Eraser
Active@ KillDisk - Hard Drive Eraser is powerful and compact software that
allows you to destroy all data on hard and floppy drives completely, excluding
any possibility of future recovery of deleted files and folders. It's a hard
drive and partition eraser utility.

Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Vista install problem

My install of Vista failed and would not boot. Nor did my efforts to fix the
problem from safe
mode. I also tried the 'repair' option from the install disk, that failed too.
So I tried to reinstall
Vista and got an error after entering the product key I got a new error,
'install Vista from the
installed OS, which of course is the failed to boot Vista. Anyone got any ideas
on what to do
next besides get help from MS?

Jim
