Emile, it sounds like it [Windows 7 Beta]  is a keeper until August
1? Meanwhile, I do see my Drive letters, and the Download was done overnight,
so I don't know how much time it took. Furthermore, booting up, Windows 7 Beta
is 1st in line. Also, I am running Avast, and the usual Anti's with no problem.
 Thank you, Ivan [Lucid Geek]

Yep Ivan:
Got mine downloaded, burned, and triple booted on my laptop, with XP and
Vista, the night before last. No problems except two incidents... ......Win7
Ultimate hogs the drive letter "C" for itself, and in it's own eyes has taken
the drive letter off XP. When you are in Win7 you only see XP, wthout a
drive letter, if you go into "manage". On booting up you can still select "an
earlier version" to boot into XP andXP sees the 3 OSs with the right letter.
Win7 is supposed to have used my "F" partition. McAfee Virus scan seems to be
working, and updating, but I continually see a Compatibility error.

AOL 10 beta installed ok with an adjustment in the compatibility mode
AOL 9.1 installed with no issues.
Verizon USB modem installed with no issues.

Initially the only issue that Win7 reported was the fact that I had no Virus
scan running, until I installed McAfee. That was a retail version I got for
$9.95, and I have not yet tried the free AOL McAfee security suite.

Download time by Verizon USB modem was about 3 to 4 hours with no
interuptions. Somebody reported interuptions and non-completion until they went
to
Microsoft for their download.
Burning time was under 15 minutes.
Installing time was just under 30 minutes.

So far, the product is fast, an looks good. Without getting into it too
deep it kinda makes me feel this looks more like an upgrade of Xp should have
been , rather than Vista did. Bye

Emile
