I tried to uninstall on Windows - it isn't listed in my programs.  There is an
uninstall in the program, but it doesn't work - doesn't do anything at all.  I
have e-mailed customer service - nothing happens.  I did get rid of the popup
that was annoying me, and deleted imesh, but I'm sure its still there.
Thanks.

I have a friend who was having trouble with Imesh too. She had even
paid for some songs and still couldn't get them downloaded. Some people
consider imesh to be adware or spyware. But even if it's clean it is
still a pretty intrusive and hard to use service - imho.

It sounds like you want to get rid of imesh? First place to start is in
Control Panel, Add-Remove programs. (In Vista it's Control Panel,
Programs, Installed Programs). Just uninstall Imesh there. Also look
for any other programs that have Imesh in their name and uninstall them too.
If you 'still' think you've got Imesh or adware on your pc try this:

Go to Start, Run, and type Msconfig (in Vista just type Msconfig
into the run box). Click the Startup tab. If you have a lot of checked
items go to this site to find out if any might be adware or spyware:
http://www.sysinfo. org/startuplist. php Just type the name of the
startup item into the search box and you'll get a result that tells what
the item does, and if it is needed. If you find anything unsavory, or
even unnecessary, just uncheck it and reboot.
When you reboot you might see a box saying that you've made changes to
the startup list - just check the box to "do not show this message
again", and you'll be fine.

If you want to just buy songs try Amazon.com, or Walmart.com. Those services
are now totally DRM free (no restrictions on your songs at all). If you want a
subscription type service like Imesh you could try Rhapsody.com which is a
pretty popular music site.

Good luck,
Donk
