Ivan,
Thanks for the info, but I'm not looking for a sync solution.  I need to know 
how to keep Windows 7 from dropping my Windows XP shares from the "Network" 
area.
I can find the shares again by doing a search, but I would prefer to keep them 
visible in the "network" area.
