Well, if you do have an internal CD drive, then it will show up in BIOS 
setup. And there will be an option somewhere to change the boot order.
F12 might not be getting you into BIOS setup - it might just be Acer's 
diagnostic screen?
Anyway, try pressing Control-Alt-Esc at bootup (when prompted) to get 
into BIOS setup.  If you post the model number of your Acer we can prob 
look up the correct keys to enter setup.

As long as the Hard Drive is set as the 1st boot device you'll never be 
able to boot from a CD.
