Go to Gateway.com and click Support.  Just type in your model and you 
can get all the drivers you need, plus the original user manual, etc.

Look in the manual to find out what hard drive options the motherboard 
has.  Lots of current motherboards less than about 4 or 5 years old will 
have connectors for both SATA and EIDE hard drives.  So, you will be 
able to use your old drive - no matter what form factor it is.  I just 
bought a brand new Seagate 500GB SATA drive for $60 from Micro-Center.  
Storage is cheap.
