Well, chances are that XP will have drivers for some of your devices.  
The other devices you can get drivers from their manufacturer's 
websites.  Download the User Manual for the PC here:
http://support.gateway.com/support/manlib/Desktops/desktop.shtml
It might have the brands/models of your components.  Or download the 
free Belarc Advisor program here:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html  It will identify some of your 
hardware too.  The trickiest thing will be to find the motherboard 
chipset drivers, but it may run fine with the generic drivers XP will 
install.  I would even try downloading the Vista chipset drivers and see 
if they work with XP.

You shouldn't have "any" problem running 2 devices on an IDE cable.  I 
do it all the time.  Just be sure to set the jumpers to Master/Slave on 
the devices.  IDE was designed for 2 devices on a cable.
