Regular 3.5" floppies won't fit in a Zip drive. Zip drives had their
own, proprietary disks - fatter and wider than a 3.5" floppy.
I have an old Zip 100mb drive too, but never use it anymore. The truth
is that they have been made mostly obsolete by the little flash thumb
drives. Why use a separate device to record data onto a low capacity
100MB disk, when you can get a little thumb drive for $8 that'll hold 50
times more data and will fit in your pocket, and doesn't even need a
separate drive to be read, heh?
I would maybe keep it for a few years, unopened, and maybe it'll be
worth money as a collector's piece someday.
There are people who have the original Windows 3.1 package in an
unopened box, and it's worth tens of thousands of dollars now. :-)

Good luck,
Donk
