From what you describe, it sounds like maybe you deleted your image files, but not the folders they were in? So, when you click Browse, you see your picture folders, but since you deleted the image files, the folders should be empty. Next time you click Browse, right-click any folder or file you want to delete and choose "delete" from the popup menu. That will definitely get rid of them. If you hold down the Control key you can click on as many files or folders as you want - then right-click on one and all of them will be deleted.
