my computer has been really noisy. it was getting warm. i bought a new cpu fan and added new thermal paste. i plugged fans back into motherboard and it wasnt coolling it properly. i plugged it directly into the power supply (after i got compressed air and blew all my fans out and heat sinks). fan was too big and the plastic clips to replacement wouldnt stay in good. i took my motherboard back out and put my mount in for the screws and put my factory fan/heatsink in for cpu. it does keep it cooler through power supply and seems to have more cooling power but louder. is it possible to get it quieter? (was quieter when plugged to motherboard). same time i rather have a noisy and cooler computer than a quiet and overheating one. would 3 in 1 oil help it any to lubricate anything?
