The Notebook has SP3. I put SP1, SP2, and it was fine. I put SP3 on the tower, and it went haywire.
The 'blue screen' says, that all virus software should be removed. The tower freezes at a 'blue screen' temporarily then reboots, since I have it set to do that. Can you better describe the "blue screen" you get? Does it say anything else - like mention an error message, or file? Does the PC freeze up at the blue screen - causing you to have to reboot? Sounds like it might be a 3rd party malware that is pretending to be Windows.
