It's really not too uncommon to get an occasional system crash or freeze up - even on new PC's. Acer (and most all manufacturer's) PC's come with a lot of installed apps that run in the background and can cause random conflicts and error messages. But they should still be pretty rare.
If I were you... I wouldn't worry about the nVidia error you got. I'd wait and see if it happens again, or if you get other kinds of errors or problems. Then you can start to troubleshoot by disabling background apps, checking your hard drive, checking Device Manager, etc. If you wanna do that now just re-post and we can give instructions - but with just one crash I wouldn't worry. I always have to mention... even if your PC is running perfectly you should definitely have any important personal files backed up - stuff like photos, music, word docs (recipes?), etc. You can buy a cheap little thumb drive, or external drive, or upload them to a cloud service - however you do it - as long as you do it before it's too late, heh.
