See my previous message about the HTC Contact app.  I think you can try 
shutting it down, disabling it, or better yet uninstalling it.  I doubt 
you'll be able to uninstall it since HTC put it there and wants you to 
use it instead of the Google app for some reason.  The only way to get 
rid of some of the manufacturer's built-in apps is to root the phone - 
which can be a tricky, involved process that I can't really guide you on.

If all your other contacts added on Google sync to your phone - except 
for that one - I would suspect there's something weird about that one 
contact. Maybe a strange character in the name or address?  Or a very 
looong name or street name?  I dunno.
