I think this phone is too strange for me to figure out.  After several
attempts to get the entry on the laptop to sync onto my phone, it finally
happened.  I did not do anything different from clearing the data.  I did
not do the next suggestion you had.  I did go through all the google
contacts between my 2 google emails and clean them out.

I still have some double entries in my cell phone still.  I tried to delete
one of them but it won't delete.
