I'm not certified. But then I'm not a professional either. I used to do 
some programming for money long ago, but computers are mainly a hobby 
for me now.
I dunno how important A+ and Net+ are now - I'm guessing not as 
important as they were.  And, they are mucho expensive I think.  I would 
ask this question on some other tech forums until you get some good 
answers - before spending any of your hard earned dollars on a certain 
certification.
One thing I can tell ya - working in tech these days requires almost 
constant schooling to keep up with the changing standards.  Sometimes 
your employer will help pay for school - sometimes not.  Just sayin'.
