Received a Brother HL1440 from a move I did. Had been sitting a while as the
company had consolidated to multi purpose machine. It also cam with 2
cartridges.
When I tried it I got flashing red toner error with both cartridges.
I purchased toner refill to save $$$. When I received the toner says to remove
any old toner. Turns out it's not empty.
Question, does toner go bad? How about the cartridge? I can't afford to waste
the toner so now I'm afraid to try. I mean would would both cartridges be bad
and show the same red light error?
I am sure the printer worked or the guy would have told me to toss it
