You'll be able to network any of your 3 pc's that are wireless network capable. Almost all laptops come with built-in wireless. For your other 2 pc's... the OS doesn't matter - the PC's themselves have to have a wifi card or chip in order to connect wirelessly. Of course, if they don't you can buy a little USB wifi adapter for as little $15. Plug it in and you've got wifi!
For the laptop, look for a little icon light somewhere near the keyboard that looks like radar beams. Or, go to Start, and type DVMGMT.MSC to open device manager. Look for the category Network Adapters. See if there's a wifi device installed (ethernet is not wifi). Or, go to Control Panel and look at the Network And Sharing section to see if there's a wifi connection available. Many laptops that do have wifi have a little switch somewhere on the case to turn wifi on or off (be sure it is "on"). Look at the 2 PC's as above to see if they have wifi. Most PC's in the past 5 or 6 years come with wifi built into the motherboard chipset. Once you get all the computers connected to the Uverse router, it should handle the sharing of files, etc. between all the machines it sees. If not, repost and we can help you set up the LAN between your 3 computers.
