My mom has a Kindle Fire HD that she bought from Amazon.com, and she is having
trouble transferring books from her Calibre application to her Kindle. In the
past, she could just with a few simple steps get a book copied to her Kindle,
and it would not take long at all. She has only had it for about 4 to 6
months. What does happen now when she tries to transfer a book from her
Calibre application to her Kindle Fire HD, is that she gets a list of 3 and
sometimes up to 7 different jobs in Calibre even when she is only trying to
send one book. Also it takes a lot longer to get the book sent, and sometimes
the book doesn't get sent at all. Instead she may get error messages.
When transferring books in this manner, she has the Kindle hooked up to the
laptop where the Calibre application is running by means of a USB cable made
for Kindle Fire HD's. We also bought a new cable just in case the previous
cable was bad.
We would appreciate any help that we can get to resolve this problem.
