Well, it seems you've proved that the laptop itself is fine - you've just got a defective screen. It is possible to buy a brand new, original equipment, screen for your HP G7. Cost is about $70 - $100. I found a bunch on Amazon and Ebay. To be honest I've never replaced a laptop screen, but I imagine it is fairly simple. Search YouTube for instructions before you buy one so you'll know what to expect.

hey donk, it appears to be a back light issue, it will boot up i can hear it booking, once it is booted, i can take a flash light and shine it on the back of the led, and see the windows desk top, all the leds light up like they should. and yes i can enter the bios.

Do you see led's on the keyboard lit up? Do you hear sounds as if the laptop is booting - but you can't see anything on the screen? When you say you tried 2 different "screens" I'm assuming you mean external monitors? When you try an external monitor be sure to press Fn + F4 to switch the display to the external monitor. Can you see anything on your screen at all when you boot? Try quickly tapping F10 right after you press the power button to see if you can enter BIOS setup. If the screen is totally black during boot, and an external monitor doesn't work, but you hear the pc booting up... there's not much you can do. It is probably a failed video chip on the motherboard.
