boinc is basically a library to easy application development, so although
the basic boinc app does not compute one month long work units,
i should be able to make it do what we want. then we get the statistics
and GUI for free, so it makes sense. and since boinc is designed
so that you alone run the server that distributes data, not some central
server operated by berkeley.edu, privacy should be possible too.
