Well,

a lot of research projects died because of 'pressure' by someone (big
companies, governments) where pressures can be represented by a lot of
things.

This email is to start a discussion on: "How to support and make the
project evolve and survive?"

I would really like to see reaching a stage of 'point-click-sniff'
tools so that this research result would became the *most pervasive*
privacy awareness actions on the global population ever done.

But that kind of research is not like WiFi WEP crypto stuff, it's more
sensible, more interests on it, more investments to be preserved and
avoided.

If a 'point-click-sniff' tool for GSM will not exists, citizens will
continue to feel 'secure' that way and there would be no serious
public actions.

So, how to avoid that 'pressure' will make the research project never
reach a 'point-click-sniff' tool, and how to support this development
scenario while managing the 'pressure' ?
