Our unit will use PCI for that purpose to get better latency and throughput.
USB is not designed for real-time data.

Not sure I understand what do you mean by "clocking a USRP through
a phone". Could you elaborate a bit, please?

Well, we expect first prototypes be available not earlier then at the middle
of the year and final version not earlier then at the end of the year. So don't
count on us in short term.
