This idea sounds really good.
It was already opened a ticket about that between all developers of this
mailinglist?!

What you think about that?!
Is possible to create a sub project for that part?!
With the Resolution of channel hopping we will put the word "END" to the GSM ;)
P.S: What about other interesting hardwares, like USRP, but with more skills?!
I heard that some companies are working to create an hw more "compatible" with
GSM... anyone knows somethin?!

I think to implement crude channel hopping would take max. 5 working
days, 8 hours each.
Day 1: setting up signal path including
channel separation.
Day 2: making framework capable of tracking multiple ARFCNs
updating L3<->L1 interaction (setting up bursts, following comm)
Day 3: checks with different scenarios to be aware of bugs/limitations
Day 4+5: fine tuning, improve usability
