It's been a while since I looked at this. I am just printing a comma using
one of the fonts and I recall spending quite a bit of time tweaking the
font size to get the comma big enough to make out without it crashing into
other elements of the score. Maybe I should just parametize the scale
factor for some of the symbols. (No guarantee this will get done real qu
ick, though ;-)

That's strange, I don't recall making any changes at all in that part of
the code (one of the few areas I haven't mucked about in, actually). I was
working from an early version of abcm2ps. I wonder if the problem existed
there and was fixed at some point after I started modifying the source?
Anyway, I'll look into it.
BTW, I appreciate your finding these little problems. It's hard for any
one person to catch all the little overlooked "features" in a program as
sprawling as jaabc2ps ;-)
