BarFly is NOT AppleScriptable.  As with much of Apple's work,
AppleScript is ridiculously easy for the user (AppleScripts
read like English instructions), but insanely complicated for
the programmer.  It may get done one of these days, but don't
hold your breath.

The other problem would be in figuring out how to write a CGI
to run on a unix machine which can assemble and transmit
AppleEvents to a remote Mac.  I'm sure it can be done, but
I haven't a clue how.

It can do that already.  Standard MIDI and AIFF audio too.
