Depends how its done.  What Muse does is to allow Ctrl+right-click on a
symbol to clone it, so once you've entered a small number of symbols from
menus or tool-bars or whatever the tune-so-far in effect becomes a tool bar.
This goes for chord symbols and everything else too.  That can make the
mouse pretty quick and all without cluttering the screen up.  With luck ;)
they won't have anything so cool.
