Netscape 4.7 (on linux) didn't display any of the objects, and like
John's iframe example, displayed a message "since iframe failed,
click here" and "here" is a link to the abc file. Unlike John's example,
when I clicked the link Netscape didn't know how to display the file
(since it was sent with a mime type of text/vnd and I haven't configured
Netscape to deal with that) and wanted to download the file instead of
displaying it.

Not having netscape configured to recognize text/vnd might be why
none of the object examples worked, come to think of it.
