| Here's an old classic for beginner violinists. Enjoy :)

Thanks, Frank. I found only three serious problems with it. ;-)

First, could you repost it without all the line wrappings? It came
out readable but spread out thinly over three pages with abc2ps, and
this may have also contributed to some confusion on the part of
abc2midi.

Second, there's a missing |: in voice 2. This didn't confuse abc2ps,
but abc2midi produced some rather, uh, "interesting" harmonies with
its interpretation of where to repeat from. Inserting the |: makes
the harmonies work correctly. Omitting start-of-repeat is, of course,
quite common in abc transcriptions, as it's also common in a lot of
printed music. This is a frequent problem for people who use abc
players to learn tunes by ear.

Third, there was a rather un-Hungarian coda at the end in voice 2:

| V:2
| BB2B (G2G2)|BGB2 BGB2|cd ec BGB2|z A z E z F z F|GD2B, G,4|]

The upbows on the b's (in the subscribe/unsubscribe) don't seem to me
to be the correct bowing for the coda. The I-V-I at the end is normal
for a Hungarian ending, of course, but I'd expect it to be GdG rather
than cg.c (which is all that abc2ps used from tullochgorm.com ;-).

Maybe I should add the posted version, unocrrected, to my list of
test files. I'd guess that something (Barfly?) played this correctly
despite these problems, but other programs won't. Though I suppose
the line wrapping and coda weren't in the original.

Ain't email wonderful?
