I'm a programmer although I have not written any ABC-related code
(yet). Two points:
1) Since I doubt that any of these so-called oppressive developers are
holding a gun to your head so I'm dismissing the above as nothing but silly
rhetoric.
2) If you really feel that the existing apps are that terrible and not
suitable to your needs, buy a compiler or use one of the free ones
available, learn how to use it and write your own apps.
