| I need a way to implement tenor G clefs and note values longer than
| whole notes that works across applications and platforms. Allowing a
| couple of different syntaxes for the tenor G clefs is trivial to

Jeez; Laura; you have an even weirder sense of humor than I do! Here
I was trying to prevent the thread from wandering off to obscure
repeat questions, and you immediately jump to two other unrelated
topics without even bothering to change the Subject line.

;-)

(Both of those are, of course, worthy topics of discussion. We've
discussed them before, of course, and maybe it's time again. The
question of long notes should be easy to deal with. The main thing
we'd need there is a few examples, perhaps as PS routines and GIF,
PNG and JPEG images, so that people will know what they should look
like. A lot of implementers won't be familiar with the note symbols.)
