Mac users may want to check out this member of the abc2ps family. I
use it (on linux) because it supports both tenor G clefs (although
with a syntax different from the one this list recommended when I
originally patched abc2ps for my own purposes) and Breves. But he's
put a lot of work into the documentation, and does at least answer bug
report email, even if he doesn't always get around to fixing the bugs.

And the lute tablature printout is really quite impressive; I have one
example on my site
(http://www.laymusic.org/music/dowland/shepherd/cantus-lute.abc) and
consistently get email from lute players about how much they wish they
could do that.

Dear abctab2ps users,

eventually abctab2ps has been ported to MacOs;
many thanks to Hank Heijink! A ready-to-run
package is available from

http://www.emsland-aktuell.com/lautengesellschaft/cdmm/

Moreover the "Download" and "References" sections on
the abctab2ps home page have been rearranged for better
orientation.

Christoph Dalitz

PS: If you do not want to be informed on new releases
of abctab2ps, please drop me a note so that I can take
you off my email adress book.
