I was addressing the specific issue in John Campin's 8 Sep 2001's
posting, and I must apologize for a hasty generalization, unintentional
though (I see now that I sounded as implying abc software in general
choked on one line ending format or other, which is not true). Anyway,
I've had problems opening files in abcMIDIfier on account of this (but
abc2MIDI seems OK, in spite of someone else's posting complaining of
line ending problems with it).
