| I have been using abc, mostly with abc2win, for a couple of years now | with no problems, but now the group that I play with has added a viola | player. I'd like to print off our music for her in a format that she can | sight-read easily but haven't found a way to coax an alto "viola" clef | out of abc. If it was in the archives to this list, I missed it.
Well, abc2ps has done alto clefs for some time. You'd add clef=alto to either the K or V line. Since you're doing multiple-voice music, presumably you'd use a V line to define a viola voice, and put the clef=alto there. Or you could write each instrument's part as a separate "tune" and just put the clef=alto in the K line. | Any help you can offer would be appreciated; our viola player is a great | kid who plays well with fiddlers and whistlers. Hmmm ... "Plays well with fiddlers and whistlers" would make a great T-shirt, wouldn't it? To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
