Hi, Spotbeagle, welcome to the list. Do you have a name too, or do you
want to remain anonymous? (it's perfectly OK if you do.)

I think you'll have to ask AOL about that. There's definitely something
funny about the way e mail server you use works.

You'll get more. Don't you worry.

It happens in the best of families. ;-)
Don't bother about it. It'll pass.

Well, since you apparently use yaps and abcmidi yourself: you know of
course that we would have had to delete those two programs too?

Good point, but simple codes work for simple tunes. We'd like to be able
to use ABC for more complex things as well.

This is exactly *why* we want to update the standard. At the moment
there are *no* programs that follows the current standard (yes, there
already is a standard) exactly.

I've never tried ABC2WIN, so I just have to take your word for it.

Oh, and btw, the reason why there are no lyrics or chords in ABC2WIN is
that it *does* follow the _original_ ABC standard.

Not writing (as I said, there already is one), but *updating* it.

You're right. That's one of the main reasons why we end up with fist
fights rather than getting any real work done. :-(
