better follow it myself. ;-)

Yes it can!
If you go to - say:
http://www.musicaviva.com/midi/files/scotland/weighing-from-land-220400.mid
you'll find a midi file of one of the bagpipe tunes you've posted at
abcusers complete with drones.
There are some other technical problems related to bagpipe drones in
midi, but they are easily solved with some minor manual editing.

Btw, the reason why I mentioned that particular example is that I've
been meaning to ask you about it for a while. The tune itslef is more or
less direct output from BarFly, and I'm not alltogether sure all those
gracenotes are played correctly.
