I disagree here. Nowhere in the 1.6 standard does it state that the Q: field will define the beat if it has the form Q:A/B=C . This is the essence of my point. On the other hand, if you are suggesting that a player program might interpret "allegro" by deciding what the beat is and then setting the tempo to 120 beats per minute, then maybe that is an interesting proposal worth discussing.
