It is a logical step, but IMHO it will lead to different versions of
abc, "abc-for-MIDI", "abc-for-humans",
"abc-for-convertion-to-staff-notation" etc. I think we should avoid
that as far as possible (see my message from yesterday).

OK, it may be a resolution "as a last resort", but the abc will not be
very readable to humans, and the readability is - I think - the
strongest argument to use abc at all (e g in favour of MIDI files).
