My proposal is this:
Develop a modular system of core components which can then be used
a) by stand-alone app developers, and
b) by other developers who want to embed this capability as a part of their own apps.
This keeps the core somewhat independent from the app and the core can be used in
ways unimagined before.
I'm thinking along the lines of an ABCParse module which feeds a stream to both
ABCPlay module and ABCView modules.
(Okay, I'm coming from an OS X background -- but this could easity be adapted for ActiveX
or whatever).
Maybe this is the wrong list (I never joined the developer list), but I think this is the
way ABC ought to go -- so every current app maker doesn't have to reinvent the wheel but can
add their own editing/add-on enhancements as needed.
