BarFly will do something similar - the escape key is interpreted as meaning "I don't care", and the window (but not the whole program) will close. If you really want to change your mind click on the Cancel button. Yes, BarFly plays the tune which contains the text insertion point. However, this does mean that if you edit a different tune from the one whose music is on display, the play command will start playing a different tune from the one which is on display.
