Only supports digest.

There is a Microsoft-specific thing for GSS-krb5 that is not
standardized and that is krb5 specific.

Right but can't you shoe-horn something that looks like negotiate
onto the SIP request-response model, especially if you do TCP?

I think we should talk to the SIP crowd, it does sound appealing to get in touch with such a large community that does have some (federated) authentication challenges....
