The patch appears to work (it gets expat to build, despite producing a bunch of extraneous output), though I haven't tried linking the result into Abi yet, so who knows. The question becomes, however, do we hack up the Makefile.in, thus "forking" expat in some sense and altering the way it compiles on other platforms, or do we just add a Makefile.abi?
