Yes, AbiWord is indeed portable.  It needed exactly 1 patch to compile
on all the 6 debian architectures.  

I also think that the freebsd.2.patch is worthwhile, at a minimum.
Some of the others I just don't understand the point of, so I'll have
to look at them more.
