         The FASTEST way for us to get REAL SVG support for 1.0 (at least 
in terms of rasterization) would be to use ImageMagick.  It's already XP, 
has an acceptably complete SVG implementation and can easily convert to PNG 
(or RGBA) for passing to our existing bitmap image handlers.

         I would suggest that any other option should be postponed till 
post-1.0.
