FWIW, the Unix dialog (which the win32 dialog should mimic) does auto-preview by embedding a version of abiword inside of a GR_Graphics drawing area. You make the slightest change to any setting and you see things automagically updated in the preview area. There are also separate character/font and paragraph previews. We're *very* much like MSWord's UI, which (IMO) isn't so bad in this case. Dom
