Yes it is very much MS Word this way. I'm not sure I agree with you about
your prefered solution. It seems very cumbersome to me. I know it would be
very hard to implement since we do not put style definitions in the undo
list.

Unless someone else steps up to the plate or can make a really convincing
argument, this is how we will do things for 1.0.
